20% p.a. senior, secured debt investment in the logistics industry
Investment Highlights
We are seeking capital from wholesale and sophisticated investors for a 20% p.a. senior, secured debt investment in the logistics industry.
Our client has a presence Australia-wide and has created a high quality, omni-channel logistics platform, underpinned by technology, data, analytics and automation. However, in its current state, it is sub-scale and underleveraged.
Earlier this year, our client raised $1.4 million to commence execution of a ‘scale up’ plan (Transformation Plan), with significant progress since then. This capital raising will enable the business to complete that Transformation Plan, in advance of a refinancing prior to 30 June 2022.
Terms of the senior debt are as follows:
- Security – Secured loan notes (GSA)
- Term – to 30 June 2022
- Return – 20% p.a.
- Interest – Payable quarterly, in arrears
- Ability to convert into subsequently issued securities at a 10% discount to valuation
- Minimum investment – $50,000 per investor (sophisticated investors only)
- Other terms and conditions typical for senior securities
We are currently seeking $600,000 for our client under this follow-on capital raising.
However, this opportunity will also appeal to investors seeking larger cheque-size deployment, with the opportunity to invest $2 – 3 million in a national, scale-up opportunity. In these circumstances, existing senior debt facilities will be repaid from funds raised and the remainder will be used as growth capital.
